The Full Story

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in the technology space, designing and scaling large-scale education, training, and development programs. That experience shaped the way I see systems—how they influence us, how we move within them, and how we can shift them to create change. Now, as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA), I bring that systems perspective into my work with couples, families, and children to support healing, growth, and deeper connection.I earned my undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara and my Master’s in Couples and Family Therapy from Antioch University. I am Play Therapy and Gottman Level 1 certified, equipping me with specialized tools for working with children and supporting couples in strengthening their relationships.

My approach is influenced by systems theory, attachment-based, and developmentally-informed perspectives. I take a relational, strengths-based approach, helping clients explore patterns in their relationships while also offering practical tools to create meaningful change. Whether working through challenges in parenting, postpartum transitions, trauma, anxiety, or major life shifts, I aim to provide both insight and action—understanding the "why" behind patterns while also finding strategies to move forward. At the core of my work is a deep belief that everyone is doing their best with the tools they have. I approach therapy with curiosity and compassion, recognizing that behaviors, struggles, and relational patterns often stem from past experiences, unmet needs, or protective strategies. My role is to help uncover those deeper layers, build awareness, and create new possibilities for growth and connection.

I am committed to creating a therapeutic space that is trans-affirming, poly-affirming, and neurodivergent-affirming. In my work, I honor gender diversity as a natural and valid part of the human experience. I strive to provide care that is attuned to the unique challenges and strengths of trans and nonbinary individuals and families—including navigating systemic oppression, identity development, and the complex layers of affirmation and safety. I approach therapy with a deep respect for autonomy, self-definition, and the wisdom each person brings to their own journey.I also align with the neurodiversity paradigm, which views neurodivergence not as something to be pathologized or corrected, but as a meaningful part of one’s identity and experience. My work holds space for different communication styles, sensory needs, and ways of processing the world. I meet each client and family with curiosity, respect, and the belief that healing happens when we are seen and supported as our full selves.

My style is warm, collaborative, and, at times, direct. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and dynamic, incorporating humor with depth and insight with action. When working with children, I focus on meeting them where they are developmentally, creating a space where they feel understood, empowered, and connected. At the heart of my work is a belief that healing happens in relationship—with ourselves, with others, and within the systems that shape us. My goal is to help you build stronger, healthier connections, whether in your family, your partnerships, or within yourself.
